Shrimp With Parmesan Cream Sauce
This is a great base sauce, different from a Bechamel, much simpler, richer in flavor and higher in fat since we use heavy cream. It is so easy to make and will really knock the socks off of your guests since it's so delicious.
This recipe was adapted from a beautiful Italian woman who learned to cook for her husband in her 20s. Add flash-fried shrimp to the sauce for extra flavor, color and a texture. A great tip is to serve this sauce over steamed broccoli instead of the traditional pasta, to reduce net carbs. This recipe was passed down from her Italian grandma. Now it's yours!
