Instructions

  1. 1
Wash and cut your vegetables as required and keep them ready to assemble your burger later
  2. 2
Put the ground chicken meat into a mixing bowl. Add the egg, Montreal steak mix, garlic powder, hot sauce, olive oil and salt and mix well.
  3. 3
Wash your hands, dry them well and grease your palms with olive oil to shape the burger patties.
  4. 4
You could make them as thick or thin as you like. You could divide the mixture into five portions or make 10 small portions, flatten out the burgers making them nice and thin and serve 2 thin patties in each burger when you assemble them.
  5. 5
Once shaped use a non stick pan or stone pan to cook the burgers. I used a stone pan and no oil. If you dont have a stone pan just drizzle a little oil in a non stick pan and fry the burgers for roughly 6 minutes on each side. Again if your burgers are quite thick, cook them a minute or two longer on each side to make sure theyre completely cooked. (Bacteria can multiply rapidly in ground meat so you want to make sure your burgers are cooked right through before eating them)
  6. 6
If you have space in the frying pan, go ahead and add your onion rings to the pan with a little oil and fry them until they turn slightly brown. If not, fry the onion rings in a separate pan until they turn golden brown.
  7. 7
Place a lettuce leaf on a plate and carefully place a burger patty inside, topping it up with cheese, tomato, jalapeños, pickles, onions rings and mustard/ketchup. Use a toothpick to secure the lettuce leaf to the patty and hold everything together.
